Membership
The PWN is a non-for-profit organization. There is no annual membership fee to join. Simply join by providing us with your contact details through the following link. We will add you to our mailing list and emails will be sent to your inbox.

The cost of attending a meeting is $30.00. Throughout the year we also offer special events, the fees for which may differ from our regular meeting fee. We are also happy to offer a special university student rate of $20.00 for regular meetings. Proof of student status is required at the time of registration.
Once registered for a meeting, the meeting fee is non-refundable but may be trasferred to another member or guest.
In Vancouver meetings typically happen once per month from September through June.
Members’ Group
Each member, once registered as a member, may join our private PWN group on LinkedIn which serves as our free members’ directory. Through this directory members can locate and connect with other members for further contact and business opportunities. Women in Science Speaker Series – H.R. MacMillan Space Centre
The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre offers a speaker series that may be of interest to anyone exploring a career in science or engineering. Admission is by donation.
Thursday May 9, 7:00pm Finding Your Path to Engineering and Science
Maxime Chin (UBC) will share how she achieved an Animal Biology degree and a Mechanical Engineering degree and how they helped shape both her career and personal endeavours.
Thursday June 13, 7:00pm Transforming Human-Robot Interaction
Robots may be fast, strong and accurate, but not ideal co-workers. They don’t communicate well with humans, and are not always designed for safety when in close proximity to people. Dr. Elizabeth Croft (Professor at UBC) will discuss finding ways to help humans and robots to work together.
